Life of a technology professional: What’s wrong?

Deadlines. Frequent deadlines for projects that are very complicated and time-consuming take the employee out of a balanced life.
• Unmatchable growth of technology. Cutting edge technological introductions puts pressure to the professional most of the time, as it may be difficult to comprehend and follow.

• Poor team works. Teamwork that is below satisfactory levels gives pressure to everyone
included in the team. Least performing and uninterested team-mates chop the confidence of
the hard workers and untie their self-assurance towards the work. Personal relationship inside
the teams too counts to the stress level of the employee. Due to strict work schedules, when there is no enough time to concentrate on the way of healthy living, the professionals face enormous problems in life. Add to that when carelessness originates, the
balance of life slips almost completely due to unavoidable diseases and health problems. Frequent food avoidance, sleeplessness, unproductive habits that are fatal to the health are some of the widely seen lifestyle elements among professionals. What is work-life balance?

In the simplest explanation, balance in life means ‘time for everything’. Work-life balance
means you undertake and enjoy the responsibilities and workloads of both, your work and your family life. Balance doesn’t necessarily mean having more free time. But it does mean that you utilize every moment in a way that is as pleasant and productive for your own living.

Tip for better health and fitness

1) Some basic tips on eating

Never avoid your regular meals.
Eat breakfast every day. People who eat breakfast are less likely to overeat later in
the day. Breakfast also gives you energy and helps you think and learn. If you skip your
breakfast you may feel dull for the whole day. Skipping breakfast also makes diseases like
headaches, anorexia, stomach problems etc.

Choose whole grains more often. Try whole wheat breads and pastas, oatmeal, brown rice, or bulgur.
Select a mix of colorful vegetables each day. Different colored vegetables provide different nutrients. Choose dark, leafy greens such as kale, collards, and mustard greens, and reds and oranges such as carrots, sweet potatoes, red peppers, and tomatoes.

• Choose fresh or canned fruit more often than. fruit juice. Fruit juice has little or no
fiber.

• Use fats and oils sparingly. Olive, canola, and peanut oils, avocados, nuts and nut butters,
olives, and fish provide heart-healthy fat as well as vitamins and minerals.

• Eat sweets sparingly. Limit foods and beverages that are high in added sugars.
• Eat three meals every day instead of skipping meals or eating a snack instead of a meal.
Have low-fat, low-sugar snacks on hand at home, at work, or on the go, to combat hunger and prevent overeating.


2) Be Smoke-Free
Health concerns associated with smoking include cancer and lung disease. Smoking triples the risk of dying from heart disease among those who are middle-aged. Second-hand
smoke - smoke that you inhale when others smoke - also affects your health. If you smoke, quit today! Help lines, counseling, medications, and other forms of support are
available to help you quit.

3) Maintain a Healthy Weight
Those who are overweight or obese have increased risks for diseases and conditions such as
diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke. Eat better, get regular exercise, and see

Perhaps now more than ever before, job stress poses a threat to the health of workers and,

healthy living a part of your life.

6) Try these activities to add more movement to your daily life:
• Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Make sure the stairs are well lit.
• Get off the bus one stop early if you are in an area safe for walking.
• Park the car farther away from entrances to stores, movie theatres, or your home.

• Take a short walk around the block with family, friends, or coworkers.

• In bad weather, walk around a mall.
• Rake the leaves or wash the car.
• Visit museums, the zoo, or an aquarium. You and your family can walk for hours and not realize it.
• Take a walk after dinner instead of watching TV.

Meaining Of Vedana (Title Word of my Blog)

Vedanā is a word in Sanskrit and Pāli meaning "feeling" or "sensation".

One of the five aggregates (skandhas). Described by the
Buddha as having both mental and physical aspects; therefore vedanā offers a means to examine the totality of the mental-physical phenomenon. In the Chain of Conditioned Arising (Pratītyasamutpāda / Paṭiccasamuppāda), the Buddha explained that tṛṣṇā (taṇhā), the cause of suffering, arises as a reaction to vedanā. By learning to observe vedanā objectively one can avoid any new reactions, and can experience directly within oneself the reality of impermanence (anicca). This experience is essential for understanding the nature of attachment, leading to liberation of the mind
